Gifts in Your Will

Estate gifts are are critical to the important work of Mount St. Mary Hospital. Your legacy gift should look at your current and future financial needs and protect your family’s inheritance. You gift can be structured to minimize taxes so more of your money goes to your loved ones and causes that are important you.

Great wealth is not required to give, just a willingness to take time to plan.

By leaving a gift in your Will, you guarantee vulnerable community members receive enhanced care, comfort, dignity and respect.

You can have impact through:

  • Bequest Gift: You can give MSMH the residue of your estate, a percentage of it, or a specific amount in cash or assets
  • Retirement Plans: You may choose to designate MSMH as the beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF, of TFSA

Your gift is vital as government funding and resident fees only cover a fraction of the cost of hospital equipment and life-affirming programs.

If you are interested in making a gift through your will, you are strongly encouraged to discuss it with your financial and legal advisors before preparing your Will, adding a codicil, or changing your beneficiaries.
