Reporting to the Leader of Spiritual Care & Volunteer Resources, the Volunteer Resources Coordinator provides support in the planning, implementation and delivery of the work of the Mount St. Mary Hospital Volunteer Team.
Mount St. Mary Hospital (MSMH) provides a Homelife Model of Care that enhances the quality of life of individuals living at MSMH. The Unit Clerk is a member of the Resident Care Team and provides clerical functions to support resident care. The Unit Clerk works collaboratively with the Resident Care Team to meet the needs of residents and families, and in support of the mission, vision and values of MSMH.
Mount St. Mary Hospital, located in downtown Victoria, is a complex care facility designed to promote a homelife model of care for 200 residents.
As an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, the OT is responsible for assessing residents and developing, implementing and evaluating habilitation and activity plans to support their needs. In addition, provides staff instruction in the MSIP program.
Qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved university; eligibility for membership in CAOT and registration with COTBC. Previous long term care experience is preferred.
Wages and benefits are provided in accordance with the Health Sciences Professionals Bargaining Association and service is portable from BC Health Authorities and affiliates. 2021 rates $37.24 to $46.39 per hour. 2022 rates have not yet been negotiated and finalized.

Plans, delivers and evaluates spiritual care services at Mount St. Mary Hospital to meet the needs of residents. Provides spiritual support to residents’ family members as required when appropriate community resources cannot be facilitated. Provides spiritual support to staff members as appropriate.
Degree in Theology or related discipline, Volunteer Management Certificate preferred, plus three to five (3 - 5) years’ recent related experience. Endorsement by a recognized faith group or community. Canadian Association of Psycho Spiritual Education (CPE) advanced units certification preferred. Experience working with the elderly. Equivalency of education, training and experience will be considered.

The Licensed Practical Nurse promotes the quality of life of people living at Mount St. Mary Hospital by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care for their own assignment within the full scope of practice as determined by the BCCNM current legislative scope of practice and Hospital Policy. Maintains an environment of resident centered care by enabling resident choice, individualized care, resident and family involvement in care decisions. Collaborates with members of the Resident Care Team and House Team to provide a service that meets Resident Care Standards.
Qualifications include: Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current full practicing license with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

The Resident Care Aide adds to the quality of life of people who live at Mount St. Mary Hospital by assisting residents with their activities of daily living, performing simple nursing procedures, and supporting their emotional, spiritual and social needs.
The team member performs a variety of heavy duty cleaning duties, which includes running equipment such as swing machines and auto-scrubbers. Training will be provided but previous experience is considered an asset. Manual duties ranging from collecting garbage to changing lightbulbs will also be required.
Qualifications include 1-2 years of related housekeeping experience in an institutional setting, good communication skills and physical ability to complete the duties. Shifts are 0600-1400 and 0800-1600 7 days a week. Some shifts will be prescheduled and some on call.
Wage: $20.56 per hour plus 12.6% in lieu of vacation and statutory holidays.
