Greetings Families and Visitors:
Per a Directive from the BC Government and the provincial Public Health Officials (Dr. Bonnie Henry), effective Tuesday, October 3rd all Staff, Visitors, Volunteers, Contractors and Delivery Persons must “…wear a medical mask when they are in common areas of the home and when participating in indoor events, gatherings, activities in communicable areas…”.
Our Ambassadors will resume screening visitors for symptoms of respiratory illnesses, hand out medical masks, and ensure visitors clean their hands when coming in to visit.
Visitors do NOT need to show proof of vaccination, nor do they require to be tested for COVID-19.
The MSMH COVID-19 and Influenza Immunization Clinic for our residents is scheduled for Monday, November 20th.
The Public is encouraged to receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccines when they become available in BC in October.
The CAFÉ will remain open.
However visitors will not be able to eat or drink in the Village Square due to the Mask-Wearing Mandate.
With best regards,
Sara John Fowler, CEO of Mount St. Mary Hospital
