Sensory Garden Progress

Posted on Posted in Our News

In six short weeks, the Peace Garden has undergone a transformation into a Sensory Garden for residents living in the dementia units at Mount St. Mary. Once complete, this new garden will provide a safe and engaging outdoor space for residents to explore and enjoy. The space will promote independence and dignity and will encourage self-esteem, self-control, and self-confidence.

This project was only possible because of the incredible contributions of our donors. Led by our dedicated fundraising volunteer Tony Southwell, these donors have given almost $175,000 to this important and life changing project. We are blessed by their kindness and compassion.

If you would like to make a gift to support the final stages of the garden redevelopment, you can donate online here or please contact Jane Bowers at 250-516-2817 or
