Welcome to the Mount St. Mary well wishes page. This form allows you to send a message to a loved one currently in our care. Emails are checked every weekday and hand-delivered by staff to residents/clients in the afternoon. Messages received after 1 p.m., on weekends, or statutory holidays will be delivered the next business day. Please note that this tool is only for well wishes. Any other type of communication or messages (such as emails conducting personal business, containing questionable content, or solicitations) will not be delivered and will be deleted from the system.

Any photographs submitted will be printed and given to the client, or shown to the client electronically. Once the client has a printed copy, or has been shown the photograph, the original file will be deleted. Mount St. Mary will not store any photographs, and the person submitting the photograph does so at their own risk. The photographs will not be filed on the client record, nor will they remain in the custody or control of the Mount St. Mary.

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Casual

    Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) and Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) enhances the quality of life of people living at MSMH by working collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of resident-centred care. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the LPN maintains an environment of resident and family-centred care by enabling resident choice, individualized care, and resident and family involvement in care decisions. The LPN practices in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, and according to Mount St. Mary Hospital policies, standards and protocols.

    The Resident Care Aide adds to the quality of life of people who live at Mount Saint Mary Hospital by assisting residents with their activities of daily living, performing simple nursing procedures, and supporting their emotional, spiritual and social needs.     The Food Service Aide adds to the quality of life of people who live at Mount St. Mary Hospital by assisting residents with their dietary and food environment needs. As a member of the House Team, prepares, portions and serves hot and cold foods to residents in an assigned resident house area.

    Supports and encourages resident and family interaction and participation in meal service, table setting, clearing, where ever possible.
